George L. Salis, is an economist, lawyer, and tax professional, with over 24 years of international tax experience in international tax and trade compliance, tax planning and controversy, fiscal regulation, and tax economics consulting. He specializes in the area of international economic law; including taxation, fiscal & economic policy, transfer pricing and trade regulation.
George is an experienced analyst and advisor to senior executives in global companies and firms on matters of taxation, VAT, transfer pricing, tax treaties, EU tax law, customs & trade, information reporting and global regulatory compliance.
He is a graduate adjunct professor of tax law and economics at Texas A & M University Law School and at Thomas Jefferson School of Law, California. He is the author of several articles related to international tax, economics, fiscal and tax policy, investment and global trade and finance. He is an update author of LexisNexis’ U.S. Transfer Pricing Guide, 3rd Ed.
George holds a PhD in International Law & Economic Policy (Union), an LLM (Hons) in International Tax Law (STU), an LLM International Taxation & Financial Services, (TJSL), an MA in Law & Ethics (UBalt), a GDip.Law in EU Law (Oxford DLE), the LLB (Hons) (Wolverhampton- UK), and the BSc (Hons- USNY) in Economic and Political Science. He is also a Certified Business Economist (CBE -NABE Charter).
